I gotta say, Sam Worthington is a pretty simple actor, but I do like him. He did the part pretty well for the human counterpart. Then it had some of the other actors that I always enjoy to see such as Susan Weaver, Joel Moore (Seriously, who DIDN'T like him in Grandma's Boy?), and Michelle Rodriguez. For the Na'vi, what can I say? They were native and true to their beliefs. You see a lot of these kind of people like this in movies and television. Also, they are blue (which is pretty friggin' awesome). Visuals were AMAZING in 3-D. Enough said. The story was simple, but I did enjoy the love story and it really did pull you in at some points.
OVERALL, I love this movie. I'm going to watch it again soon XD

Old story, new media, great production. Saw in 3D and IMAX 3D, loved it both times.

Reminds me of Pocahontas 2050.
Not my cup of tea. Visuals? Stimulating. Plot? Eh, I didn't like the Disney classic. Didn't like the futuristic version of it. Rinse and repeat stratagem.

I don't know, maybe I have an extremely open mind, but I didn't even notice the resemblance between Avatar and Fern Gully/Pocahontas/whatever. Now that people mention it, I do see it, but it was different. I loved that movie, and I didn't mind that the plot wasn't totally original.
