Well, this is the first scene To The Same Heights will show as a sample of what you will see in the future. It will all be in HD and Widescreen, so it would be more enjoyable for you all. This scene is based on the Tomoyo Arc, which is one of the best moments in my opinion. To me it was kinda tough, but I think both of us managed to do this. It came out really good, so I hope you all enjoy. Tomoya Okazaki - LuminAbyss [Yuri Lowell] Tomoyo Sakagami - AegisHikaru [Aigis] (me) Mixing - LuminAbyss Intro Vid - LuminAbyss & AegisHikaru

You two did well with this. CLANNAD is so widespread and so diverse in how the story can be told. What it comes down to is how the characters interact and share their feelings among the various scenarios. This one being no different.
LuminAbyss: You're doing great with reading emotions in various situations. You're also strong in delivering calm, normal lines. However, there is flatness in your more excited lines as well as awkwardly accented inflections in your deliveries. What I mean is, though you are showing proper emotional caliber, there are only small changes in how you are reading the script, making many of your lines sound close to the same. The most prominent example is how you chose to put emphasis on "now" or simply said almost every word at the same pitch then emphasized the final word in the sentence, when there were other words that could have merited more emphatic focus, given what Tomoya wanted to convey. This can improve with practice. Also, you want to watch your mic puffs. They happened a few times. Your sad lines and chuckling were okay, but could be worked on as well.
AegisHikaru: You have a great voice and tone for Tomoyo. I've noticed from reading your posts that you have a personality that matches her well. You delivered the majority of your lines in a way that speaks well of her - emotion, inflections, and all. Once in a while though, your delivery fell flat in that it sounded as if you were reading a script. I noticed it was when there were two sentences to be said right after the other; like when she says "I'll go wherever you go. Tomoya I always will." I think you're keeping that in check well, so keep it up. Also, like LuminAbyss, watch your mic puffs. =]
Mixing: Since it was mostly BGM, mixing was pretty good. Aegis's lines did seem louder than LuminA's, which made him hard to hear with his more solemn deliveries. Aside from that, I don't have any else. I did notice a degradation of mic quality, especially in LuminA's mic. I'm sure both of you are looking to get better mics eventually, so that's not much of an issue more than just a nitpick.
I really like the name of your duo group, especially since I've been toying with the idea for Polka and I. As a sample, you two did good work, but I believe both of you can continue to grow just like myself and the rest of us. Best to you on your projects as To The Same Heights. =]

I was always looking back at the actual scene with the seiyuu's voice, and got a little lost in some parts. Especially with the difference between the lines. So yeah, it was a challenge to get it in both her attitude an actual emotion at the same time. Because we all know Tomoyo's a pretty blunt and kinda emotionless character. And as for mic puffs, I think you mean the part where I cried as her... o.o I'm not surprised if it's that. Could you guide me to what part where you see the puffs? Mixing: Since it was mostly BGM, mixing was pretty good. Aegis's lines did seem louder than LuminA's, which made him hard to hear with his more solemn deliveries. I'm sure both of you are looking to get better mics eventually, so that's not much of an issue more than just a nitpick. I can pretty much explain that: My mic... has been very bad lately. It chose a really bad time, so the quality is pretty bad. And usually whenever I do lines I have to make sure its volume is clear enough because it's always been shadowed by the music. So yeah, I'll look into that and be careful. I'm getting a best-quality mic for Christmas, so hopefully that'll help in the future. Thanks for the critique, hun. Truly appreciate it~

Truly appreciate it~ I can do that. There was only one at 1:07 and none while you were crying ironically enough. I had thought I had heard more, but I was mistaken. Don't mention it. I do it with the hope that I will receive the same in return, but moreso to help friends (as well as myself) grow.

And yeah, there was some puff situation when I did the crying and had to fix that. That's why I thought that was a pain. But yeah, again, great honesty and review you got there. I truly do appreciate members like that.
