Ahhh~ When I think of my old playstation gaming days, this game always pops up in my head, why...cause it was Epic beyond any possible reasoning.
Valkyrie Profile is based on the old Norse Mythology of the end of Asgard's peaceful days, from the assault of a dark force called Ragnorok, the Valkyrie Lenneth was reawoken in the body of a young girl named Plantina, who passed away in a field of poisonous flowers, to acquire souls of the good-hearted and brave to fight for Asgard.
However, what happens when the Valkyrie encounters people from Platina's past...will she be fused with Plantina's own memories..or will she stick to her duty as a Valkyrie?
Gameplay is amazing, the final moves are just epic for each character (which I forget to mention, there are a LOT of them!)
The true story is very well done, as well as the two alternate endings.
The voice acting is astounding for a classic PS game, and it was kinda funny playing this as a kid, the voices in the game mostly used were Veronica Taylor, Rachel Lillis, and Eric Stuart....-ahem- anybody wanna suddenly catch 'em all now =w=?
The graphics used were a nice blend of 2-D animation, with 3-D backgrounds, which was probably where Odin Sphere got their style from ^^
If you can find the original game for the playstation, get it!!
or if you have a PSP you can get the remake of it named Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth, some voices were changed (which upset me), but stayed true to the original game
